Affiliate disclosure

Glowboots is free and carries no advertising. It is funded by affiliate commissions: when you buy a product through a link on this site, the retailer pays us a share of the sale. You pay exactly what you would have paid going there directly.

How to spot an affiliate link

• It looks like a magenta button ("Check price on Amazon"). That color appears nowhere else on the site.
• A disclosure box sits above the first affiliate link in any section that contains one. A footer mention is not enough, and we do not rely on one.
• Technically these links carry rel="sponsored", which also flags them to search engines.

What it changes for you

The price: nothing. The commission comes out of the retailer's margin, it is not added to your cart. The retailer sets a cookie in your browser to attribute the sale — 24 hours on Amazon, longer on some other programs. Details in the privacy policy.

What it does not change

• The picks. Commission rates are set per product category, not per product: recommending one model over another at the same retailer pays exactly the same. The scoring grid is public.
• The downsides. Every product page lists what is wrong with it. A product with no listed flaw does not exist on this site.
• Products with no link. When the best model is not carried by any partner, it still gets recommended — without a link.

What we refuse

• Undisclosed sponsored posts. If a brand ever paid for content, it would be labeled at the top of the page.
• Products sent free in exchange for a review, unless the page says so explicitly.
• Links to sellers we would not use ourselves: no size chart, no return policy, or less than three months of trading history.
